The Sri Siddhartha Foundation in Thalagala in collaboration with the Saasanarakshaka Bala Mandalaya in Kalutara at the request of the Army came forward to donate essential dry ration packs among 200 needy community, residing in Debarawewa area in Hambantota on 08th June 2022.
Major General Lanka Amarapala, General Officer Commanding of 12 Division instructed the Army troops of the 122 Brigade to organize the event in collaboration with the Divisional Secretariat and respective Grama Seva officials.
Each pack worth Rs 1500/- contained dry rations, inclusive of 2.8 kg of rice, 1 kg of wheat flour, 2 kg of Dhal, and 03 Soya meat packets.
The General Officer Commanding of the 12 Division, Divisional Secretary of Tissamaharamaya, The Principal of the Government School in Debarawewa, 122 Brigade Commander, Officers and Other Ranks of the 122 Brigade attended the donation project.
