More Flights with Sri Lankan Expatriates Arrive-NOCPCO

As of this morning (18), a total of 650 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. All of them are locally-identified ones, including the majority 242 from Colombo, 126 from Gampaha district, 42 from Kandy District and other 240 are from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (18), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory employees and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster stands at 31,716. Meanwhile, 22,945 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients from both Minuwangoda (3,059) and fish market (28,657) clusters have been discharged from hospitals.

Up to yesterday (17), a total of 35,386 persons have been confirmed COVID-19 positive from all over the country, including the dead. 26,352 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 8,874 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

By this morning (18), 701 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres within last 24 hours. No deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours.

By this morning (18), the flight QR 668 from Qatar with 23 passengers the flight UL 455 from Japan with 42 passengers, the flight QR 710 from Qatar with 140 passengers have arrived .the flight QR664 from Qatar with 75 Passengers, UL554 from Germany with 37 passengers, UL1208 from Italy with 144 passengers, UL190 from Bangladesh with 24 passengers, UL504 from UK with 36 passengers , UL198 from India with an expatriate, the flight TK 730 from turkey with 20 passengers , UL 320 from Malaysia with 13 passengers , the flight MU 231 from China with 74 passengers, Ek648 from UAE with 100 passengers SQ 468 from Newzeland with 75 passengers is expected to arrive here. They all were/were to be referred to Quarantine Centers (QCs), managed by tri-services upon their arrival after formalities at the airport.
