More Flights Arriving with Expatriates-NOCPCO

As of this morning (28), a total of 473 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, are 01 expatriate from Oman, 138 persons from Colombo region, 63 persons from Gampaha area and 35 from Ratnapura region, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (28), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory employees and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster stands at 19,431. Meanwhile, 12,793 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients from both Minuwangoda (3,059) and fish market (16,372) clusters have been discharged from hospitals.

Up to yesterday (27), a total of 22,500 persons have been confirmed COVID-19 positive from all over the country, including the dead. 16,225 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 6,168 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

In the past 24 hours by this morning (28), 410 persons recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres.

To-date, 107 COVID-19 positive deaths have been reported. Yesterday’s 8 deaths were from Colombo 13, Maradana, Magazine Prisons, Colombo 10, Colombo 2, Colombo 9 and Colombo 15.

By this morning (28), the flight QR 668 from Doha, Qatar with 44 passengers and the flight UL 1026 from India with 53 passengers have arrived in Colombo. Likewise, the flight UL 218 from Doha, Qatar with 52 passengers is expected to reach Colombo. All those passengers were/ were to be referred to Quarantine Centres (QCs), managed by tri-services upon their arrival after formalities at the airport.

As of this morning (28), 5,088 persons in 47 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (27), 13, 286 PCR tests were carried out. latest Running | Nike Air Max 270
