More Expatriates Brought Down-NOCPCO

As of this morning (10), a total of 535 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. All of them are locally-identified affectees, including the majority 148 from Colombo district, 111 from Kandy district, 64 from Kegalle and other 212 are from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (10), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory employees and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster stands at 44,060. Meanwhile, 38,080 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients from the fish market (35,021) and Minuwangoda (3,059) clusters have been discharged from hospitals.

By this morning (10), a total of 47,839 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 40,837 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 6,773 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

By this morning (10), 521 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres in the past 24 hours. 04 more deaths have been reported from Mount Lavinia, Opanayake, Kattankudy and Wellampitiya areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 229 by this morning (10).

By this morning (10), the flight UL 104 from the Maldives with 24 passengers , the flight QR 668 from Qatar with 45 passengers, the flight UL 226 from the UAE with 68 passengers, the flight UL 607 from Australia with 8 passengers and the flight UL 455 from Japan with 50 passengers have arrived.

The flight EK 650 from UAE with 70 passengers , the flight IFC 121 from India with 14 passenger , the flight AI 273 from India with 58 passenger, the flight UL 506 from Maldives with 12 passenger, the flight UL 102 from Maldives with 4 passenger , the flight UL 1208 from Italy with 33 passenger, the flight TK 730 from Turkey with 10 passenger, the flight UL 303 from Singapore with 17 passenger and the flight SQ 668 from Singapore with 50 passenger expected to arrive here within the day. They all were to be referred to Quarantine Centers (QCs), managed by tri-services upon their arrival after formalities at the airport.
