60 clever Wanni students during a ceremony on Tuesday (5) received gift parcels of school accessories and were subjected to medical check-ups, following initiatives, taken by the 211 Brigade Headquarters under the Security Forces Headquarters, Wanni (SFHQ-W).
Those 60 students of the Madhukanda National School at Vavuniya destriwho have shown exceptional talents in their studies were gifted with bags, equipment, books and accessories to the value of Rs 18,000/= courtesy, extended by Dialog company.
Soon after the distribution of these gifts, students at this school underwent medical consultations during a mobile clinic conducted at the same place.
The event was attended by Mr Namal Bandara, Provincial Sales Manager, Dialog, Lieutenant Colonel T.M.G.B Tennakoon 211 Brigade Civil Affairs Officer, officials of the Vavuniya Department of Education and Vavuniya Department of Health and a group of teachers and parents.
