More COVID-19 Deaths Reported in the Past 24 hours - NOCPCO

As of this morning (5), a total of 706 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them 2 are expatriates and others are locally-identified ones, including the majority 277 from Colombo district, 92 from Gampaha district, 101 from Kandy district and 234 others from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (5), a total of 67,114 persons, inclusive of 63,125 of the fish market have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 60,566 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 6,209 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

In the past 24 hours, 684 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. 7 more deaths have been reported from Dickwella, Biyagama, Weuda, Katugastota, Maggona, Hettipola and Nuwara Eliya areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 339 by this morning (4).

As of this morning (5), 7,787 persons in 89 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (4), 14,680 PCR tests have been conducted.Running sport media | Air Jordan
