Monks &;amp; Clergy of Major Faiths Watch Jaffna Vesak Celebrations

Nearly 144 Buddhist monks from the south including Ven Welamitiyawe Kusaladhamma Thero, Chancellor, University of Kelaniya visited the Vesak Zone, organized by the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) covering major towns in Jaffna.

In addition, Hindu, Catholic and Islamic clergy joined Buddhist monks to see the Vesak celebrations in the peninsula.

Major General Udaya Perera, Commander, SFHQ-J gave away cash gifts to selected civilians who assisted the SFHQ-J to make the Vesak Zone a success.
