The newly- constructed OPD section and the Intensive Care Unit of the Army Base Hospital in Mullaittivu became operational after both of them were ceremonially opened by Major General Jagath Rathnayake, Commander, Security Forces -Mullaittivu on Monday (15) at the invitation of the Officer Commanding of the Hospital, Captain K.S.S Korala.
These new facilities were quickly erected by Mullattivu troops to fulfill immediate needs of the hospital after al support for it was given by the Army HQ. After opening of the new facilities, the day's Chief Guest, Commander SF-MLT planted a mango sapling in the compound and left memories.
