‘Deyata Kirula’ 2014 mega exhibition at Kuliyapitiya was opened to the public on Monday (24) by Hon Minister of Economic Development, Mr Basil Rajapaksa, in the company of Ministers, Deputy Ministers and a host of other invitees.
Mr Rajapaksa, together with Hon Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Hon Deputy Minister of Finance and a couple of invitees, made a point to visit Army exhibits on the site with much interest.
He was received by senior Army Officers on hand at the entry to the Army section and taken round the premises. Several senior officers explained him the historic importance of some Army exhibits on display.
Meanwhile, Major General S.W Daulagala, Director General, General Staff and Major General Prasanna de Silva, Colonel of the Regiment, Commando Regiment and Commander, Army Training Command (ARTRAC) of the Army on Tuesday (25) went to see the Army exhibits at Kuliyapitiya and discussed requirements of those Army personnel, working there.
