A medical clinic was organized on account of the World Cancer Day by the Lieutenant Colonel T.C Harasgama, of the Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) in cooperation with Dr. D. Vinodya at the Harmony Centre Kilinochchi, on Friday (27) on the directions of Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SFHQ-KLN.
Around 150 civilians were benefited under this project. Meanwhile, Dr. D. Vinodya, Regional Director of Health Service, conducted a comprehensive lecture on ‘Oral Cancer and Breast Cancer’ with the intention of making the public aware of those hazards.
Dr. Shantha Fernando and his staff in the Non-Communicable Disease section of the Regional Health Service Office gave their fullest support to make this event a great success.
