Medical Officers Donate Medicine to GW Headquarters

The Regimental Headquarters of Gemunu Watch (GW) at Kuruwita recently received a stock of medicine, valued over Rs. 5 lakhs from a team of medical specialists as a donation.

Medical specialists, Dr Vipula Indralal and Dr Chandana Jagath Kumara, on the directions of Dr Kapila Kannangara, Provincial Director of Health Services, Ratnapura, made the donation of medicine and medical accessories to the medical centre at GW Regimental Headquarters.

Medicine and other accessories to be used for treatment of GW soldiers who are still on rehabilitation and medical therapy after injuries, sustained in the humanitarian operations, contained several very expensive drugs used for treatment of long-term permanent injuries, etc.

Colonel A.P.I Fernando, Colonel Commandant of the GW Regimental Headquarters received the donation from those donors who visited the Regimental Headquarters. Colonel Fernando thanked the medical specialists for their concern on the well-being of GW soldiers and expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported the project.
