A discussion seeking measures to prevent COVID-19 outbreak in Matale District was held on Tuesday (19) at the Matale District Secretariat office and Gongawela Jumma Mosque with the participation of local authorities, headed by Major General Nishantha Manage, General Officer Commanding 53 Division.
During these discussions, they focused more on action plans, actions to be taken against violators of quarantine regulations and educating of the Muslim community around the area through mosque Moulavi.
Mr S.M.G.K Perera, District Secretary, officials of several agencies attended the discussion.
Meanwhile, one more COVID 19 District committee evaluation conference was held at the District Secretariat in Matale on 26 March 2021, presided jointly by Major General Nishantha Manage and District Secretary for Matale District.
