Many Additions Inaugurated at Mattegoda 5 SLE Camp Premises

Major General Jagath Gunawardena, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers on 12 December 2020 as the Chief Guest declared open the newly-constructed Officers’ Accommodation, Golf Course and the New Store Section of the 16 Workshop Regiment of the SLE at Mattegoda Army Camp premises. On his arrival at the 5 Field Engineer Regiment SLE was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Gihan Thilakarathne.

Construction of this new accommodation complex was completed by the troops of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers under the guidance of Major General Jagath Gunawardena within a short period of time and it consists of modern sanitary facilities for Officers of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers.

Making preparations using the best agrostological methods, a ‘New Golf Course’, designed for Golf players among Sappers was also added to the SLE on the same occasion by the visiting Colonel Commandant. It was the SLE Golf team which won the 2019 Inter Regiment Golf Tournament,

The newly-erected Technical Store Building of 16 Workshop Regiment SLE, constructed to uplift administrative facilities of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers was also inaugurated at the same occasion.

Senior Officers, including Major General Chandana Wijesundera, General Officer Commanding, Engineer Division, Brigadier Pradeep Gunawardena, Commander Engineer Brigade, Brigadier Mangala Mayadunna, Centre Commandant, Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Officers and a large gathering of Other Ranks were present at the inaugural ceremony.latest jordan Sneakers | NIKE HOMME
