Majority of Infectees, Still from Colombo-NOCPCO 5

As of this morning (5), a total of 468 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, was one Sri Lankan expatriate and other 467 are locally-identified ones, including the majority 183 from Colombo district, 73 from Kandy district, 72 from Gampaha and other 139 are from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (5), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory employees and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster stands at 41,476. Meanwhile, 35,059 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients from the fish market (38,417) and Minuwangoda (3,059) clusters have been discharged from hospitals.

By this morning (5), a total of 45,241 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 37,816 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 7,212 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

By this morning (5), 565 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres in the past 24 hours. 02 more deaths have been reported from Ratnapura area in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 215 by this morning (5).

By this morning (5), the flight EY 264 from Abhu Dhabi with 66 passengers and the flight QR 668 from Qatar with 25 passengers, the flight MU 713 from China with 5 passengers and the flight UL 222 from Qatar with 68 passengers have arrived.

The flight UL 218 from Qatar with 245 passengers, the flight EMB 135 from India with 3 passengers, the flight UL 1365 from Indonesia with 7 passengers and the flight SQ 468 from Singapore with 14 passengers are expected to arrive here within the day. They all were to be referred to Quarantine Centers (QCs), managed by tri-services upon their arrival after formalities at the airport.

As of this morning (5), 4,945 persons in 79 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (4), 12,826 PCR tests have been conducted. Best Authentic Sneakers | Nike
