Sri Lanka Army Service Corps troops at the Regimental HQ (RHQ) in Panagoda felicitated their newly-promoted Major General Piyal Nanayakkarawasam, Commander, Forward Maintenance Area-Kilinochchi on Friday (12) on his arrival in a simple ceremony with military honours.
The newly-promoted two-star General was awarded a Guard Turnout at the entrance to the RHQ before he was ushered to receive the Guard of Honour, presented by SLASC troops.
Next, the newly-promoted Commander Forward Maintenance Area (KLN) planted a sapling in the premises, followed by the customary troops address.
