Extending their gesture of gratitude towards the Defenders of the Nation, the Leo Club at the University of Colombo donated a stock of essential equipment and sanitaryware to the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) Headquarters for use among serving members.
Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda received the donation from Leo Nipuna Sandaruwan during a brief meet at the SLAVF premises on Friday (5). The stock included wheelchairs, one computer, one water filter, surgical masks and liquid sanitizers.
Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda conveyed his sincere thanks to the members of the Leo Club of the University of Colombo and appreciated their endeavour of encouraging soldiers, committed to national duties.
Deputy Commandant, Principal Staff Officer, Senior Army Officers and a few members of the Leo Club of University of Colombo District 306 C1 were present on the occasion.
