A workshop to educate Army personnel on ‘Drug Addiction & Prevention from Drugs ’ took place at Security Force Headquarters-Jaffa (SFHQ-J), following arrangements organized by Directorate of Psychological Operations at Army Headquarters.
These awareness programmes, launched on the instructions of the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake occurred in Jaffna as the second Phase of the ongoing project, coordinated by Brigadier B.H.M.A Wijesinghe, Director, Directorate of Psychological Operations.
Mrs Lesha De Silva, Chairperson, National Council of Dangerous Drugs and Officials of her organization conducted lectures during the workshop.
A total of 27 officers and 335 other ranks attended the workshop that went on for two days.
