In order to replenish blood stocks at hospital levels, the staff at 'Laya Leisure', Army Holiday Resort in Kukuleganga on Friday (27) donated their blood to the blood bank at Horana hospital, enabling medical officers to save lives of patients under treatment. Considering the emergency circumstances that prevail in the country, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army requested all formations across the country to cooperate with Blood Banks, if they desire so.
