On invitation, Major General Harendra Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi (SF-KLN) had a round of discussion with the management of ‘MAS Intimates Vidiyal Garment Factory’ in Kilinochchi on Monday (22) in order to explore possibilities of creating more employment opportunities for young men and women in the factory.
In line with Hindu traditions and customs, the Commander, SF-KLN was warmly welcomed by the Additional Deputy General Manager Mr.Udara Wijesooriya on arrival at the premises.
Afterwards, he had a field visit and looked at the functional aspect of the factory after he received a general outline of the production process.
During the interactive meeting, he explored possibilities of getting more and more employment openings for Kilinochchi young civilians from low income groups. Inquiries were also made regarding security arrangements in place for employees working on night shifts.
