The Thalagala Sri Siddhartha Foundation of Ven Talagala Sri Sumnararana Thera and Tan Ngk Buay & Kee Meng Lang Foundation Limited of Singapore at the request of the 653 Brigade of the 65 Division HQ sponsored the delivery of 50 dry ration packs to needy families, resident in the general area of Kirisuddan GN Division in Mannar on Friday (15).
With guidelines given by the General Officer Commanding, 65 Divison, Major General Prasad Edirisinghe, Brigadier Namal Serasinghe, the Commander, 653 Brigade and the Civil Affairs Officer of the 653 Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel J.A.D.P Ganehiarachchi coordinated the distribution of those 50 relief packs, consisted of rice, dhal, milk powder, chillies, spices, etc among those poor villagers.
Representatives of donors, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the distribution event.
