Kilinochchi Troops Join Distribution of 1000 Dry Ration Packs among Affected Families

Troops of the Security Force HQ- Kilinochchi with sponsorship provided by the Chief Incumbent at the Buddhist Temple in Singapore Venerable Galle Uditha Thero, Venerable Balangoda Buddhagosha Thero and members of Buddhist Association of Singapore, distributed 1000 dry ration packs among COVID-19-affected needy families in Kilinochchi area on Thursday (07) upon coordination, made by the Commander, Security Forces, Kilinochchi, Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda.

This programme was carried out after identifying the families who were undergoing hardships due to loss of their livelihood means and the imposition of COVID-19 restrictions and also as an incentive for conduct of the forthcoming Thai Pongal festival of Hindu faith.

Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda, Commander Security Forces- Kilinochchi, Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa, General Officer Commanding of the 57 Division, Commanders of 571 and 662 Brigades, Commanding Officers of 9 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and 20 Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry joined the distribution programme after visiting doorsteps of those beneficiaries, strictly adhering to all health guidelines and preventive measures.

Colonel General Staff Colonel Anil Somaweera at SFHQ-KLN and Chief Coordinator Civil Affairs at SFHQ-KLN Lieutenant Colonel L. Kithsiri provided the maximum support for smooth coordination of the project with donors and made the project a success. Sportswear Design | Air Jordan
