In order to popularize the game of badminton among school children in Kilinochchi area, 57 Division troops under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding, 57 Division, Brigadier Chanidimal Peiris, conducted a badminton training program on 28 June 2022 at the Kilinochchi Stadium.
77 students and 15 teachers covering 6 schools in the Kilinochchi area participated in this training session. Mr.Krishantha Godahewa and Lieutenant A.P.C. Godahewa conducted training sessions. 571 Brigade troops arranged refreshments, lunch, and tea for all participants.
At the end of the training sessions, all participants received certificates and Major General Sanjaya Wansinghe, Commander, Security Forces Mullaitvu offered a memento to Mr. Krishantha Godahewa for his guidance.
General Officer Commanding of the 57 Division, Brigade Commanders of 571, 572 and 573 Brigades, senior officers, officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
