Japanese Ambassador Receives COVID-19 Updates from NOCPCO Head

HE the Ambassador of Japan in Sri Lanka, Akira Sugiyama, paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head of the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak this afternoon (16) at the Army Headquarters in Sri Jayawardenapura.

During this discussion, both of them shared bilateral concerns as regards the arrest of COVID-19 transmission, commitment of troops and health workers, preventive mechanisms in the country, etc.

At the end of the cordial meeting, both of them shared mementos as tokens of goodwill.
