A group of 53 past students of Colombo-Ratmalana Blind School, together with their children and spouses went on a three-day (Sept 5 - 8) picnic to Mullaittivu and Jaffna areas.
Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu and Jaffna warmly welcomed the touring group and entertained them to breakfast and refreshments during those days.
On the directions of Major General A. Kariyakarawana, General Officer Commanding, 68 Division, the group was facilitated by the 682 Brigade Headquarters.
They visited several places in Puthukkuddiyirippu, including the Victory Memorial, Museum, Boat Yard, Mullaittivu Town War Hero Memorial and the orchard at Udayarkattu.
Meanwhile, Brigadier S.K Thirunawukarasu, General Officer Commanding, 55 Division, Jaffna on the directions of Major General Udaya Perera, Commander, Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna coordinated the entire tour to the peninsula and Mullaittivu.
