Jaffna Commander Looks into Wellbeing of Navatkuli Villagers

Major General Priyantha Perera, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna in order to inquire into the needs of villagers in Navatkkuli area in Jaffna made a visit to the area on Tuesday (30) where he had a cordial discussion with the villagers at the Samiddhi Sumana Temple premises.

Ven Hanwelle Rathanasiri Thero conducted religious observances at the beginning of the discussion. The visiting Jaffna Commander touched on issues pertaining to living standards, land issues, lapses in infrastructure facilities, availability of drinking water and security of the area.

At the end of those discussions, the Commander assured his best support to resolve those concerns and other issues that pose constraints to them in collaboration with relevant government authorities and other charity organizations. At the end of the programme, the Commander Security Forces - Jaffna distributed dry ration packs among needy villagers.

The occasion was graced by Brigadier Harendra Peris General Officer Commanding of the 52 Division, Colonel Kavinda Balasooriya Commander, 523 Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel G.D.D.K Ganage Commanding Officer, 12 Gemunu Watch, Senior Officers and civilians in the Navatkuli village.
