Giving spirits of socialization and creating space for them to recollect sweet past, the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna on Friday (19) gathered Jaffna-based retired tri service veterans under one roof at Thalsevana Holiday Resort and entertained them to music and a sumptuous dinner on a suggestion made by Major General Priyantha Perera, Commander, Security Forces-Jaffna.
The get- together that invited service veterans during 1970-1990 spoke high of their past contribution. At the function, Commander Security Forces - Jaffna highlighted the veterans' committed service during their tenure and appreciated their attendance for the occasion. He further invited their children to join the service and receive this recognition as it is a national endeavour.
Further, the Commander Security Forces- Jaffna promised all necessary facilities for those ex-servicemen and welfare facilities as per instructions given by the Army HQ. He also presented gifts to mark this memorable meeting and facilitated them to speak out their hearts.
