Indian Army's Southern Commander Visits Wanni

Lieutenant General Ajay Kumar Singh, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command of the Indian Army, during his recent stay in Sri Lanka arrived at the Security Forces Headquarters, Wanni (SFHQ-W) as part of his itinerary while in Sri Lanka.

Major General A.K.S Perera, Commander, SFHQ-W upon receipt of the visiting senior Indian military officer at the SFHQ-W briefed him on the roles and tasks of his Headquarters with special focus on resettlement, rehabilitation, reconstruction and development taking place.

As the final segment of the day’s itinerary, the visiting top-rung Indian Army officer visited Punthottam rehabilitation centre for ex-LTTE combatants where he exchanged a couple of views with them and other instructors.
