Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva Thursday (17) paid a courtesy call on His Eminence Cardinal Dr Malcolm Ranjith, Archbishop of Colombo at the Archbishop's House in order to receive his blessings on the new appointment.
A brief audience the visiting Commander of the Army has had with the Archbishop saw both of them exchange views on general matters of mutual interest and importance.
His Holiness invoked divine blessings on the Commander and wished him good luck with his future assignments. Towards the conclusion of the meeting, Lieutenant General De Silva presented a symbolic memento to the Archbishop.
