Mr. M.T.B Ramachandran, the Secretary to Hindu Buddhist Cultural Association, together with Mr N Thavarajah, Assistant Secretary and a few officials of the same organization in Jaffna met the Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera at the Security Force Headquarters premises on Friday (19).
During the meeting, officials of the Hindu Buddhist Cultural Association, Jaffna pointed out that their organization has been conducting language training courses for a long time and over 21,000 Tamil students in the Jaffna peninsula have been benefited due to those courses.
Further Mr Ramachandran stated that his Association is determined to continue their efforts to bridge the language gap between two major communities; Sinhalese and Tamils by further propagating their linguistic efforts for the sake of reconciliation and better understanding.
