Distribution of gift parcels among students who excelled in the recent Grade 5 Scholarship Examination in the Vavuniya Educational Zone took place on Thursday (6) at Vavuniya Ceylon Catholic Tamil Mixed School (CCTMS) with the coordination of 211 Brigade Headquarters of the Security Forces Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W).
Sponsorship for distribution of those gifts, valued at Rs 320,500/= to a total of 260 students has been provided by Mrs Thurairaja of Action & Care Trust, Maitland Crescent, Colombo 7 at the request of the Army. Close relations of the office of the Civil Relations made this arrangement possible on the directives of the 211 Brigade Commander.
Several senior officers, principal, teachers and students attended the occasion. Mrs R.J.S Tharmakulasingham, Principal thanked the Army for the gesture.
