450 disable War Heroes of the Gajaba Regiment (GR) enjoyed the day when all of them were recently taken on a picnic to the popular ‘Leisure World’ at Hanwella as a project, meant to promote their well-being and provide entertainment.
China – Sri Lanka Serendib Business Forum, B2 & BIT Solisan and Kalagedihena Good Luck Fashion House generously and jointly patronized the whole arrangement, following a request made by Major General A.K.S Perera, Commander, Security Forces Headquarters, Wanni and Colonel of the Gajaba Regiment.
In the past ten years, those GR disable War Heroes secured the Runners-up place in the Army Inter Regiment Para Tournament and showed their skills.
Bringing more credit to the Regiment those disable War Heroes won the championship tournament for the first time in 2011 in the same Army Inter Regiment Para Tournament.
Several senior officers of the GR Regimental Headquarters took part in the tour.
