In response to a request, the Scienter Technologies Pvt Ltd offered its sponsorship for construction of a new house for a low-income group family in the general area of Galkadawala, Anurdhapura after the miserable plight of the family was brought to the notice of the Security Force Headquarters – Wanni (SFHQ-W).
The project of the construction, entrusted to the 3 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps troops of the 21 Division under the SFHQ-W was brought to completion in accordance with the ongoing ‘Army Way Forward Strategy 2020-2025’ within a short period.
This project was also supervised and closely coordinated by Brigadier Anil Peiris, Commander, Armoured Brigade at the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps Regimental HQ who was instrumental in building several more houses when he was serving at the SFHQ-W.
The 3 SLAC, Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel T.H.M.D.R.M Peiris within a few weeks ensured the complete construction with raw-materials provided by the sponsor, Scienter Technologies Pvt Ltd.
On Friday (25), a brief house-warming ceremony amid religious blessings saw its formal inauguration in the presence of the donors, General Officer Commanding, 21 Division, Major General Mohan Rathnayake, Brigadier Anil Peiris, Commander, Armoured Brigade, 3 SLAC, Commanding Officer, Civil Affairs Officer, several Senior Officers and guests took part in the simple house-warming ceremony.
