Fund-Raising 'Fashion Show' Organized; War Heroes' Children to Support Education of War-Affected North - East Colleagues

Showing true spirits of goodwill, understanding, reconciliation and concern, the Army Viru Daru Society and the Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) with the active support and patronage of Lanka Institute of Fashion Technology is to jointly stage a mammoth ‘Fashion Show’ fund-raiser on April 24 with the noble intent to raise educational standards of war-affected children in the North and the East.

The proposed mega ‘Fashion Show’ of international standards with renowned fashion models of attraction, including men, is purely aimed at raising funds for planned Viru Daru educational projects, beneficial to war-affected North-East children, and is to be on the boards at Colombo Exhibition and Convention Centre at D.R. Wijewardena Mawatha, commencing at 7.00 p.m. on April 24, 2013.  

Lanka Institute of Fashion Technology, extending its generous patronage towards the intended mission of the children of Ranaviru families gratis has undertaken the overall supply of clothes, designs and all other arrangements for the mega event at the request of the Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) and the Viru Daru Society, the proposers of the project.

The year’s scintillating spectacle, perhaps unprecedented in the history of fashion parades in Sri Lanka is the brainchild of Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya, President, SVAB who has all the time stood as the tower of strength for promotion of different projects of the Army Viru Daru Society, chaired by Ms Deshani Jayasuriya.
