Four More Die of COVID-19-NOCPCO

As of this morning (26), a total of 737 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. All of them are locally-identified ones, including the majority 227 from Colombo district, 102 from Kalutara district, 96 from Gampaha district and other 312 from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (26), a total of 59,166 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 50,336 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 8,543 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

By this morning (26), 653 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres in the past 24 hours. Four more deaths have been reported from Deraniyagala ,Warakagoda, Pujapitiya and Beruwala areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 287 by this morning (26).

As of this morning (26), 7,996 persons in 91 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (25), 14,799 PCR tests have been conducted. bridgemedia | Nike
