Felicitation Ceremony Held for Newly Appointed Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army

A felicitation ceremony was held on 28 June 2024, at the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment to honour Major General S.R.B Aluvihare RWP RSP ndu psc, the newly appointed Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, at the Regimental Centre, Boyagane.

The Chief of Staff was warmly welcomed in a Guard Turnout at the main entrance upon his arrival. Following military formalities, he paid floral tributes to the fallen War Heroes at the War Heroes monument and the Parama Wickrama Vibushana Monument.

Subsequently, a ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented to the Chief of Staff. Afterwards, a group photograph was taken to commemorate the occasion.

Later on, Chief of Staff planted a sandalwood sapling at the Regimental Headquarters premises. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
