'Exercise Mitra Shakthi - VI' Begins in Diyatalawa

‘Exercise Mitra Shakthi - VI’, the two-week long military exercise, designed to bolster military relations further between the Indian Army and the Sri Lanka Army began proper on Tuesday (26) at Diyatalawa 1 Gemunu Watch (GW) camp premises with the participation of 120 Indian Army Jawans and an equal number of Sri Lankan Army personnel.

The Chief Guest was Brigadier Kumar Jayapathirana, General Officer Commanding, 21 Division who functions as the Exercise Director ‘Mitra Shakthi - VI’ with several other supportive Officers. A parade inclusive of Sri Lankan and Indian troops inaugurated the Exercise before the Exercise Director addressed the troops

11 Sri Lankan Army Officers, 109 Other Rankers and 10 Indian Officers &110 Indian Jawans attended this opening ceremony, followed by group photograph.
