Equipped with More Drones, 2nd Training on Drone Management Begins

Troops of the 15 Drone Regiment of the Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) commenced 2nd Phase of 'Drone' training course on 24 February 2021 at Panagoda.

By gracing the inaugural occasion, Colonel Commandant Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda highlighted the importance of such training in a technically advanced world.

The Centre Commandant and Commander Artillery Brigade, senior Officers, officers and men attended the simple ceremony. During the speech, he also complimented the the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) and Commander of the Army for the opportunity provided to function the Drone Regiment under the SLA and mentioned all the guidance and instructions given and most importantly approving the financial requirement to procure new Drones.

He also emphasized the support given by Dr Manju Gunawardhana from the inception of this new regiment.

Establishment of the Regiment coincides with the ‘Army Way Forward -2025’ to match with the visionary plan of the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva.

Drone Regiment has now been equipped with 6 more technically advanced Drones in addition to available ones, provided at the raising of the regiment.

The course is to be conducted in collaboration with instructors of SULE CO (Pvt) Ltd, together with Mr Rajitha Jayasinghe, the Director of SULECO (Pvt) Ltd, Divisional Manager Mr. Ajmal Azeez and other representatives. jordan Sneakers | Best Nike Air Max Shoes 2021 , Air Max Releases and Deals
