A routine meeting to take stock of civil coordination matters, law and order situation in Kilinochchi district took place recently at the Security Forces Headquarters, Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) during a special meeting.
Major General Nandana Udawatta, Commander, Security Forces Headquarters, Kilinochchi presided the meeting. Officers-In-Charge (OIC) from Kilinochchi and Mankulam Police Stations, Navy and Air Force Commanding Officers for Kilinochchi, Special Task Force officers, General Officers Commanding, Brigade Commanders and several other senior officers attended the meeting.
The meeting evaluated all ongoing development projects in the district vis-à-vis feedbacks, being given by benefactors. It also discussed matters, related to maintenance of law and order in the area with the support of civil vigilant committees and measures that should be taken in the event of any anti-social activities. Special attention was also paid on the conduct of awareness programmes among the public.
