One more round of discussion, aimed at reviewing the preparation of the integrated disaster mitigation mechanism, organized by the 571 Brigade HQ in the wake of oncoming monsoon rains got underway on Thursday (21) at the 571 Brigade Headquarters in Kilinochchi on the directions of Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa, General Officer Commanding of the 57 Division.
The discussion has been structured offering the opportunity for Brigade Commanders and all field commanders of the 57 Division to discuss the practical undefined areas when engaging in disaster mitigation and relief operations with relevant state officials in the district as and when adverse rainy weather affects the areas.
