Director Training Brigadier Kapila Dolage made a formal visit to the Sri Lanka Army Recruit Training School at Sinhavillaruwatte, Puttalam on Tuesday (30).
The Director Training was accorded military honours and welcomed by Recruit Training Coordinating Officer, Colonel Prasanna Karunanayake and the Commandant, Recruit Training School, Lieutenant Colonel K.M.D.I.P Kamalgoda.
The Director Training Brigadier Kapila Dolage afterwards planted a sapling to mark his visit to the location and was briefed on the training curriculum of the Sri Lanka Army Recruit Training School by the Recruit Training Coordinating Officer Colonel Prasanna Karunanayake and the Commandant, Recruit Training School Puttlam Lieutenant Colonel K.M.D.I.P Kamalgoda.
During his stay in the compound, Director Training inspected accommodation area and camp premises before he addressed the troops. He appreciated training modules, standard and discussed possibilities for improvements to facilities available at the Recruit Training School.
He also appreciated the Commandant and all ranks for their energetic efforts for maintenance of the required standards. At the end of the day’s proceedings, the Director Training penned his thoughts and good wishes in the visitors’ book.
