Death Toll Rises to 280-NOCPCO

As of this morning (24), a total of 644 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. All of them are locally-identified ones, including the majority 197 from Colombo district, 110 from Kandy district, 106 from Gampaha district and other 311 from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (24), a total of 57,586 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 49,260 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 8,046 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

By this morning (24), 644 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres in the past 24 hours. Two more deaths have been reported from Mount Lavinia and Ranala areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 280 by this morning (24).

As of this morning (24), 8117 persons in 91 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (23), 18,515 PCR tests have been conducted. Sports Shoes | nike fashion
