COVID-19 Death Toll Rises to 409- NOCPCO

As of this morning (17), a total of 756 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. All of them are locally-identified ones, including the majority 172 from Colombo district, 168 from Gampaha district, 73 from Ratnapura district and 343 others from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (17), a total of 77,183 persons, inclusive of 73,662 of the fish market and Minuwangoda Brandix cluster have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 70,428 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 6,346 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.

In the past 24 hours, 1018 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. 6 more deaths have been reported from Panadura, Kochchikade, Piliyandala, Welioya, Nainamadama and Ambalangoda areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 409 by this morning (17).

As of this morning (17), 9,099 persons in 89 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (16) 11,721 PCR tests have been conducted. Authentic Sneakers | Buy online Sneaker for Men
