Cornerstone Laid for One More New House for another Needy Family in Jaffna

The foundation stone-laying for the construction of one more new house for a needy family living in Muhavil, Jaffna got underway on Friday (8), thanks to the efforts of the 55 Division HQ of the Security Force HQ-Jaffna during a simple ceremony.

1 Mechanized Infantry Regiment (MIR) troops on the instructions and the supervision of Major General Prasanna Gunaratne, General Officer Commanding, 55 Division and Brigadier Wijayanath Jayaweera, Commander 552 Brigade organized the event.

The Reecher Farm Private Limited provides the financial sponsorship for the construction of the house and construction work is to be carried out by 1 MIR troops.

Major General Prasanna Gunaratne, General Officer Commanding, 55 Division, 552 Brigade Commander, Senior Officers, Officers Other Ranks and, beneficiaries were present during the inaugural ceremony.
