Brigadier Anil Peiris, Commander, 212 Brigade of the 21 Division of the Security Force HQ-Wanni taking one more initiative recently laid the foundation stone for construction of a new house to Mrs P Sepalika Piyadasa residing at Medawachchieliya, Thanthirimale on Thursday (14).
The mother with three children at the age of 2, 6 and 8 were undergoing a lot of hardships without a proper shelter to live when her plight was brought to the attention of the 21 Division HQ.
Giving a boost to the ongoing house construction project of the Security Force HQ-Wanni, the 212 Brigade HQ with the blessings of the Wanni Commander, Major General Hemantha Bandara and the directions given by the General Officer Commanding, 21 Division, Major General Vikum Liyanage initiated the project with the financial support, lent to him by a philanthropist in Australia, Mr Anura Sandhaya Nanayakkara in response to a request made by the Commander 212 Brigade at personal level.
5 Sri Lanka National Guard troops have undertaken to complete the project under the supervision of their Commanding Officer. Several officers and soldiers joined the brief soil cutting ceremony with family members of the beneficiary. Sports Shoes | Nike
