A congregation of clergy, touring Mullaittivu area, including Bishop of Colombo recently called on at the Security Forces Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) at the invitation of Major General L.B.R Mark, Commander, SFHQ-MLT.
During the meet, Major General Mark outlined the series of multiple development roles, being conducted in the province by the troops for promotion of living conditions of the civilians to the visiting members of the congregation.
The congregation, comprised of His Eminence Dr. Malcolm Ranjith, Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Ponniah, Rt. Rev. Dr. Nobert Andradi, Rt. Rev. Dr. Winston Fernando, Rt. Rev. Dr. Valence Mendis, Rt. Rev. Dr. T. Savundaranayagam, Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Vianney Fernando, Rt. Rev. Dr. Harold Anthony perera, Rt. Rev. Dr. Raymond Wickremasinghe, Rt. Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Fernando, Rt. Rev. Dr. Maxwell G. Silva, Rev.Fr. George Sigamoney, Rev. Fr. Yavis, Mr. K. Theivendirarajah and Mr. Dhinush Jayasuriya, toured newly resettled areas, like Keppapilavu and Puthukkudiyirippu and blessed those people.
The congregation also inquired into the well-being of those resettled people after talking to all of them.
