With Commander's & ASVU's Patronage, NCO Gets New House after Fire Burnt His Previous One

Generosity extended by the Army Seva Vanitha Unit's (ASVU) President, Mrs Sujeewa Nelson and the encouragement given by General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army resulted in the construction of a new house to a Non-Commissioned Officer of the Sri Lanka Army serving at the Army Seva Vanitha Unit at the Army HQ whose house was burnt down due to an accidental fire.

20 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops under command to the 121 Brigade of the 12 Division of the Security Force HQ - Central constructed this house for the beneficiary at Badalkumbura It was vested with the beneficiary on Wednesday (05).

The house constructions were carried out by 20 SLSR troops under the direction of the Commander, Security Forces Central, General Officer Commanding 12 Division, Commander 121 Brigade and the Commanding Officer 20 SLSR.

Major General Prasanna Ranawaka, General Officer Commanding 12 Division, Brigadier D.U. M Serasinha, Commander 121 Brigade and few senior Officers attended the house-warming ceremony.
