Civilians in Sugandhipuram & Udayarkattu-North Share Concerns with General Officer Commanding 68 Division

A representative group of civilians, inclusive of Grama Seva Officials, School Principals and officials from different community-oriented organizations and societies, had a group discussion, headed by Major General Rohan Ponnamperuma, General Officer Commanding, 68 Division at Sugandhipuram Sri Muththuamman Kovil' s community centre on Friday (22) in order to find solutions for their day to-day burning issues.

Accordingly, questions, related to the fuel crisis, shortage of fertilizer, lack of water for cultivations of the farming community, narcotic issues, the construction of Udayarkaiyu Road and the Ramasan Kovil, taking over of the lands in Mullaittivu District and Killinochchi border for farming purposes, issues, related to cemeteries in Sugandhipuram and Kulandapilaw areas were widely discussed during this group discussion.

The Chief Incumbent at Sri Muththuamman Kovil, Divisional Secretary of Puddukuduirrippu, M Jayakanthan, Sergeant S. Wickramasinghe from Puddukudduirrippu Police Station , The Grama Seva Officer of Udayarkaiyu-North M. Nishanthan, Wildlife Officer N. Dinesh and also Samurdhi Development Officer, V. Pradeepan, Brigadier Dhammika Gunathunga, Brigade Commander of the 681 Brigade, Colonel Koshitha Peiris, Colonel General Staff of the 68 Division, Colonel Senaka Muthukumarana, Colonel Coordination of the 68 Division and few other civilians joined the discussion.
