Chief of Staff Receives Updates at CAAD in Veyangoda

Major General Vikum Liyanage, Chief of Staff (COS) visited the Central Arms and Ammunition Depot (CAAD) at Veyangoda on Wednesday (27) in order to receive an update on the functional aspects of the Depot.

During the visit, the Chief of Staff was educated on the functional aspect of the place before he was invited to have a close supervision at the ammo refilling section and pyrotechnics section. He also closely watched different phases of production processes at the premises.

Major General Hirosha Wanigasekara, Master General Ordnance, Brigadier Indrajith Vithanachchi, Director, Directorate of Ordnance Services, Brigadier Ajith Munasinghe, Centre Commandant of SLAOC, Colonel Pradeep Mapalagama, Colonel General Staff of Directorate of Operations, together with Colonel Ananda Jayarathne, Colonel Ordnance joined the occasion.
