Chief Field Engineer Visits Plant Engineer Brigade

The Chief Field Engineer and the Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Major General Nihal Amarasekra made his first official visit to the Plant Engineer Brigade of the 7 Field Engineer Regiment at Batuoya Minneriya on Tuesday (30).

The Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers was warmly welcomed by the Commander Plant Brigade, Brigadier Mahinda Jayawardana, CO 6 Fd, 7 Fd, 11 Fd Engineers and other senior officers.

To mark the visit, a “Na” sapling was planted at the 7 Fd Engineer Regiment camp premises. Thereafter, Commanding Officers of 6 Fd, 7 Fd and 11 Fd Engineers briefed their respective operational commitments to the Colonel Commandant.

Furthermore, signifying this visit, Colonel Commandant inaugurated new amenities in the Warrant Officers’, Sergeant Mess and Corporals' Club. The Chief Guest was greeted by the all senior officers and Other Ranks during refreshments.

Later on, the Chief Guest addressed the troops and emphasized the significant role of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers in relation to the Nation's Development efforts before he sat with All Ranks for lunch. Sports Shoes | Nike
