Chief of Defence Staff among Distinguished Invitees & State Officials at Banquet in Temple Trees

The state banquet, hosted by Hon Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa in honour of Hon Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, now on a two-day long official tour in Sri Lanka at the invitation of his Sri Lankan counterpart took place on Tuesday (23) evening at the banqueting hall in Temple Trees, Colombo 3.

Both Prime Ministers from Pakistan and Sri Lanka, Speaker of the Parliament, Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and Sri Lanka, High Commissioner of Pakistan were at the head table. A retinue of 40 members, accompanying the visiting Prime Minister of Pakistan, together with the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, General Shavendra Silva, Navy and Air Force Commanders, Inspector General of Police, Foreign Ministry officials and a few invitees were at the occasion, coloured with dancing and entertaining features.
